Newborn is one of the most rural corners of Newton County, settled back when this land was still part of Jasper County and shaped ever since by farming. The town is known for wide open spaces, pasture for horses, and acreage where families build a little distance from their neighbors. That changes the kind of work we do here. Lots are larger, lawns run to the tree line, and the jobs are often about managing real ground rather than a small in-town yard. We bring the equipment to handle bigger mowing routes, brush, and field edges.
Along Highway 142 and the back roads off it, we see a lot of horse property, hobby farms, and wooded parcels that need land clearing before anyone can build, fence, or plant. Clearing overgrowth, taking out stumps, and grading a site to drain properly is core work for us, and our GDOT certification means we are equipped for the larger jobs that rural acreage tends to produce. Closer to the small town center, established homes still want clean lawns, fresh sod, and tidy beds, and we handle those on the same trip.
From our Covington base, Newborn is a straightforward run south, about 12 miles down toward the Jasper County line. We make the drive regularly and there is never a trip charge for it. Call (470) 226-7215 to schedule a free estimate anywhere in Newborn or Newton County.
