Serving Buford Since 2013
Buford has two distinct landscaping markets. The first is the lakefront and near-lake communities around Lake Lanier, the 38,000-acre reservoir on the city's northern edge. Properties that sit on or near the water face erosion challenges that most residential landscaping does not deal with: shoreline erosion from wave action and boat wake, slopes that lose soil during heavy rain, and the need for retaining solutions that look good and hold up in a wet environment. Rip-rap installation, native plantings on slopes, and erosion-control grading are standard requests on Lanier-area properties. We have worked on similar sloped lots on Lake Oconee and bring that experience to Buford.
The second market is the residential and commercial growth on the Gwinnett County side of town, in the 30519 corridor surrounding the Mall of Georgia, the largest mall in the state. Buford straddles the Gwinnett and Hall county line, with a historic Main Street and the Tannery Row artist colony recalling its days as the Leather City, and newer subdivisions and the Hamilton Mill area filling in around it. Sod on aging lawns, lawn care maintenance contracts, drainage corrections on new construction, and outdoor living projects are the consistent requests here, the same needs you find throughout north Gwinnett County.
Gwinnett clay runs throughout the Buford area just as it does further south in the county. Every sod job and every landscape install starts with a soil assessment. What we find determines the prep work that needs to happen before plants or sod go in. Getting that step right is what separates work that lasts from work that has to be redone.
Buford is about 45 miles up I-85 from our Covington base, on the far edge of the area we serve, and we make the trip for the right projects. To set up a free estimate, call (470) 226-7215.
