Serving Stone Mountain Since 2013
Stone Mountain Park draws visitors from across metro Atlanta, but the community around it is an established residential town with real landscaping needs. At its center is Stone Mountain Village, a historic railroad district on the National Register with early-1900s buildings along Main Street and Victorian and Craftsman homes on the surrounding streets. Out from the Village, older DeKalb subdivisions and the wooded estates of Smoke Rise fill in the rest. These are properties that have been landscaped before, so most of our work here is renovation and upkeep rather than starting from scratch.
The ground itself shapes the work. This is granite country, the same bedrock that makes up the mountain, and on a lot of lots that rock sits close to the surface under thin topsoil and dense red clay. Shallow rock and compacted clay mean water has nowhere to go, so drainage problems are among the most common calls we get, and trenching for irrigation or footings takes more care than a flat suburban lot. We handle the regrading and drainage that redirect runoff away from older foundations, sod replacement with proper ground prep, and full refreshes where overgrown beds get cleaned out, edges get reset, and curb appeal comes back.
The commercial corridors along US-78, the Stone Mountain Freeway, and Memorial Drive keep a steady base of retail and office property that needs grounds maintained year round, and our GDOT certification qualifies us for commercial and public works there. From our Covington base, Stone Mountain is about 28 miles northwest up I-20. Call (470) 226-7215 for a free written estimate on any scope of work.
